Dr. Rizwana Abbasi

The author is an associate professor in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Bahria University, Islamabad. She is a fellow of East West Institute. The author was formerly a Stimson Centre’s visiting Fellow and associate professor in the Department of International Relations at the National Defense University, Islamabad. Dr. Abbasi received her PhD from the University of Leicester, UK. Previously, she was a post-doctoral research fellow and taught at the University of Leicester. She has authored a book titled Pakistan and the New Nuclear Taboo: Regional Deterrence and the International Arms Control Regime. Dr. Abbasi regularly writes for reputed national and international academic Journals, magazines and newspapers.
