Patricia M. Kim is an Adjunct Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Dr. Kim specializes in Chinese foreign policy, U.S.-China relations, and East Asian security issues. Her current research portfolio includes projects on the United States and China's competition for influence in East Asia, China's policies toward North Korea and the future of the Korean Peninsula, and a book manuscript on high-level negotiations between the United States and China from the 1970s to the present day. Dr. Kim has testified before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Terrorism, Nonproliferation, and Trade. Her writing has been featured in publications such as Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, International Security, The Washington Post, The South China Morning Post, and The Hill.
